Telephones are not only meant for social communication rather they are essential to encourage business. Nowadays, mobile phones are extremely popular. Unlike the landlines at home or offices, one can carry these in one’s pocket. This is another invention that has helped to make the world a smaller place. One can call and speak to anyone almost instantly.

Telephones are extremely convenient to exchange information. They save time, energy and labour of personally going and have any information. They are a big boon in times of emergency. It is said that in times of need, a telephone can literally save a life. Mobiles or landlines are meant to help us. We should not overuse them to count their disadvantages.
