A newborn baby does not have any teeth. At that age teeth are not required because babies do not eat solid food. But as the baby grows and its requirements increases, it starts to develop teeth to chew food.
We must take good care of our teeth. We should try and avoid eating too many sweets and ice creams. Drinking colas, too much tea and coffee are also not good for our teeth. Very hard foods and nuts should also be avoided as they can injure our teeth and harm our gums.
We should brush our teeth, with right technique, at least twice a day-once in the morning and once before going to bed at night. It is also important to rinse our mouth after we eat anything. This helps in preventing decay and bad breath. It is important to use a good toothbrush. We should visit the dentist at least once a year, for a complete check-up.
